Gail Glass, Lead Trombone
Gail began her serious musical studies performing the Arbans Carnival of Venice on the euphonium in eighth grade. During the same year she started playing the trombone in order to perform in her school's jazz band. She continued her musical studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Indiana University in Bloomington, studying under Gary Bird, Glenn Dodson and Harvey Phillips. She won the euphonium solo competition at the 1st National Tuba/Euphonium Conference in Champagne-Urbana. Gail has performed in many groups including the Johnstown Symphony, the Main Line Symphony, Chester County Concert Band, Big Band from the Valley, Glenn Dodson's Trombone Ensemble and the Jump City Jazz Orchestra. Gail is constantly on the go, teaching private students and performing in local musical theater orchestras. She resides in Chester Springs with Bob Wagner and her two children.

Paul Holtzman, Jazz Trombone
Paul started playing trombone professionally at age 16. He attended the University of Miami on a band scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree. He served in the US Navy as a musician and following his discharge was hired by the Charlie Spivak Orchestra.Ê He toured with this band for several years before returning to college to pursue an engineering career. He continued playing during this period and played for many shows on the Miami Beach hotel circuit. Some of the more notable performers he has played for include Sammy Davis Jr., Jerry Lewis, Steve Lawrence, Edie Gorme and Judy Garland. After graduating from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, he went to work for RCA in New Jersey. While there, he also earned a Master's degree from the Univ of Penna. Paul spent 26 years working as a design engineer and then as a manager of a digital design group working on various types of weather, scientific and communications satellites. After retirement, the lure of big band music got him active once again with his horn. Besides playing with several bands in the Philadelphia area, Paul has also played for a number of musical shows and has written numerous arrangements for big band.

Allan Berk, Trombone
Allan's love of jazz started at a very young age as he listened to his father play self-taught, Art Tatum-style piano at home. Interest in the trombone was sparked at age nine when he saw Trummy Young perform with Louis Armstrong. Besides his experience in high school concert band and college wind ensemble, Allan has "played pit" in several high school, college and community musicals. Today, when he isn't helping clients at the Vanguard Group, Allan enjoys his time with family, friends, and musical compadres.

Larry Priori, Bass Trombone
ÊA four time grandfather and long-time Chester County businessman, Larry rekindled an interest in the trombone at age forty and has since played in many instrumental groups including the Chester County Community Concert Band, The Big Band from the Valley, The Main Street Band, and The Sound Advice. Currently bass trombonist with Jump City Jazz and lead trombonist with the West Chester Swing Kings, Larry enjoys theÊcamaraderie of fellow musicians as well as meeting new fans.
