Bill Carroll, Trumpet
Wild Bill Carroll has been with the band since 1996 and is a true hard core, old school, no helmet wearin', Harley ridin', bad dude. Bill came to the attention of the JCJO by hustling pool at BJ's Billiards where he soundly defeated trumpeter Bob Wagner in the finals of a 9-ball tournament. A lasting friendship ensued along with the discovery that Bill was picking up the trumpet after a 35 year lay-off. As payment for the 9-ball defeat, Bob offered Bill trumpet lessons and two short years later, Bill joined the band in 1996. Enjoying both the trumpet and flugelhorn, Bill also performs with the Audubon Symphony Orchestra and local musical theater orchestras throughout the region. Bill is retired from a long career with United Airlines and currently works with the Montgomery County Parks servce.
